Bryan Edwards

Director of Residential Mentoring

Bryan was born and raised in Marietta, Ga. He grew up in what you would call a “normal” family. “I would not change any part of my growing up experience, because those experiences have helped shape the person I am today.” Bryan grew up in the church and was saved at a young age, but he was living for this world and everything in it. He never quite knew who he was or what his purpose was in life. He was going through the motions. “I tried to find my identity in all the wrong ways, and eventually alcohol and drugs became my way of trying to fill the ‘void’ in my life.” However, Bryan’s thirst never seemed to be quenched. After repeated run-ins with the law, a couple of DUI’s, and a felony drug conviction, God yanked his leash and humbled him like never before. By using prison time for violating probations, God led him to HopeQuest. Bryan entered the TREK Residential Program in February 2008 and graduated the program in September 2008. His life has not been the same since. “Thanks to HopeQuest and the Trek Program I was able to identify my core beliefs about myself and I have learned to use the tools HopeQuest has taught me to deal with life in more healthy ways.” Bryan has re-established his relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and He now fills the “void” he once had in his life. Bryan has found his purpose in living, and his identity is rooted in Christ. Bryan now serves on staff with HopeQuest and feels very blessed to be able to give back and invest in others’ lives, in hopes that they too can have victory over the bondage of addiction and freedom in Christ….. “Truly paying it forward! To God Be The Glory!” James 4:10
