Phillip grew up in Chicago as a triplet in a strong Christian Family, and is identical with one of his siblings. Phillip became a Christian at a young age. When he was growing up, sports quickly became the main focus of his life. He also loves architecture and went on to study it at the University of Arkansas. Phillip has since designed two homes for his parents in Arkansas. In college, God drew Phillip into a very real and dynamic relationship with Him. This redirected his focus in life. By his senior year, Phillip felt God leading him to the ministry. He graduated with a degree in Small Business Management, got married, and began working as a youth pastor at FBC Springdale, Arkansas. He earned his Masters of Divinity in theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Phillip also became a Licensed and Ordained Pastor. He and his wife had 3 precious children, who are currently ages 6, 8, and 10. He was later hired as a church consultant for the Southern Baptist Convention in Virginia. Work pressure, unresolved personal issues, and marital issues led to a divorce in 2006. This shattered Phillip in every way. He had to resign from his position and was accepted to the City of Refuge program at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, a program designed for pastors in need of healing. God radically transformed Phillip’s heart a second time, as he did intensive residential work for 9 months. This work realigned him to a counseling field. It also positioned him to develop a new passion; his Honda CBR 1000RR sport bike. For the past 4 years, he has served as a youth/collegiate specialist in addictions and as the director of counseling associates for our residential program called TREK. He is currently working on a second master’s degree in professional counseling.
